Introduction: The Panna National Park is a popular Tiger reserve situated in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. This same area is also popular for the diamond manufacturing of the country. It is regarded as best habitats for many of wildlife species like wild cats, deer and antelope. The nearness to Khajuraho, which is at 57 km, is the prime reason of this park to be a renowned tourist destination. This land of Panna sanctuary belonged to the families of Panna and they used it for hunting purpose. This park spreads across 540 sq km. It is a regaining park and it was uplift to National Park in the year 1981.

Species available: The history of species in Panna was not so conducive. The species of Panna were almost to extinction but the government had successfully protected in time. The population of tigers was remarkably diminished. The government has banned all the mines of sandstones and diamonds running over the place to evade pollution in the place with the lobbying of some environmentalists. There is another threat to this wildlife from encroachment from the villagers and poaching. The dry forest of deciduous nature makes itself a perfect place for precious trees like Sal, Acacia and Teak. The dense nature of this forest serves as the perfect hiding and breeding place for animals. It also makes them feel secure from the human conquest. It supports the existence of distinct animals like Nilgai, Chinkara, Chital and Sambar. Wild Cats, Leopards, Sloth Bear, Tiger and Wolf are also nestled here. A separate habitat is made for water species in a form of river in which we can find Indian crocodiles and Gharials who feed on fishes in this river. A huge number of migratory avian species migrate to this park from all over the world. It also abounds in resident bird species too. There are about 300 bird species recognized in this park. Some prominent are Storks, Eagles, Cranes and Vultures.
